Rechargeable Mushroom Table Lamp, Green Glass

A green glass shade in the shape of a mushroom cap sits on a black base in this small rechargeable table lamp. The rounded glass and dark base give it a playful, retro look that works as a decorative piece by day as well as a light in the evening. It measures about 10.5 x 10.5 x 15.4 cm and weighs about 700 g, a compact size for a shelf, a dresser, a bedside table or the dining table.

It runs on a built in rechargeable battery, so once charged there is no cable to plug in and it can sit wherever it looks right. A simple switch has three positions: on, off and a timer setting that turns the light off by itself, which is handy at bedtime or when the lamp is left on the table after dinner. The light is soft and steady, a calm glow rather than a bright working light.

Without a cable, the lamp is easy to carry from the bedroom to the majlis or to the dining table for an evening meal, and it adds a small decorative touch to a reading corner or an entrance shelf. Green glass brings a hint of colour to neutral rooms, and the lamp makes a simple gift for a new home or for anyone who enjoys retro decor.
