Moroccan Lantern, Amber Glass Hanging Candle Holder 32 cm

Amber stained glass panels set in a hexagonal metal frame give this Moroccan lantern its warm, traditional character. The frame is finished in antique copper and bronze with hand painted accents, and the cut metal work adds fine, patterned detail. Even unlit, the amber glass adds a touch of colour to a shelf or a doorway. It stands about 32.5 cm tall with a ring on top and weighs about 0.7 kg, light enough to hang at an entrance.

With a candle inside, the cut metal and amber glass throw a warm, patterned glow across the walls, an effect that shows clearly in a dim room in the evening. The lantern can hang at an entrance or stand on a table, a shelf or the floor of a majlis, so the same piece can move around the home as the season and the occasion change.

It is a classic piece for Ramadan lantern decor and Eid gifts, and it suits any room that welcomes an oriental touch for the rest of the year. A single lantern works well on its own, and two or three at different heights make a fuller display by a doorway. Candles are not included. When a real candle is used, never leave it lit unattended, and keep the lantern away from children, pets and curtains.
